What Are Notary Services?
A notary public verifies the identity of the person signing a document and witnesses the signature to help prevent fraud.
Our office provides notarization of documents in the State of Alabama only. These services are available for individuals who need a document notarized for legal, personal, or administrative purposes.
Please note that notarization does not certify the contents of a document and does not provide legal advice. The notary only verifies the identity of the signer and witnesses the signature.

Common documents include:
• Affidavits
• Sworn statements
• Letters
• Immigration support letters
• Power of attorney documents

Important Notice
Notary services in the United States are not the same as “notario público” services in some other countries.
A notary public in Alabama is not a licensed attorney and cannot provide legal advice.
Our notarization services are limited to verifying identity and witnessing signatures in accordance with Alabama law.
CNIS Immigration Services also provides immigration document preparation services, but we are not attorneys and do not provide legal advice or legal representation.
